What I Live For

 This is it. These two right here are the reason I get up and go to work every day. 
I don't know what I would do without them. 







I wasn't in a very good place when I met my wife. 
I had pretty much given up hope that I would find someone. 
I was smoking cigarettes, drinking too much, and working at a pizza shop. 
It wasn't that I enjoyed the lifestyle, but more that I didn't have a reason not to. 
Then I met her.
I still drank too much, but I had found a glimmer of hope. 
When we found out we were going to be parents, I changed. 
I pretty much gave up alcohol, except for the occasional night of drinking. 
I went back to the line of work I had tried to leave, because I knew we needed the money.
I worked 7 days a week at 2 jobs for nearly a year. 
The line of work I went back to now pays much better than it used to.
That little girl made me get my shit together just by being. 
I knew I wanted to be the kind of father a lot of men can't. 
I wanted to be the kind of husband most men can't. 
I struggle sometimes.
It's hard.
I make mistakes, but I always try.
I have to. 
I can't imagine a day going by without them.

    Real men do real things. I do not know where I would be without my wife and daughter. Struggles come and go, but love will always pass the test of time.

Poltergeist

Only another mile, I thought, keeping my head down. I watched each foot rise and fall, rise and fall, losing myself in the rhythm of it. I thought of what was on the other side of the mountain,  and I remembered it didn't matter. She was gone. No matter how quickly I made it to that ranger station, she'd still be dead. And I'd most likely be arrested. I felt I had to go, but I wasn't in a hurry. I wanted to take in as much as I could along the way. I wanted to remember how it felt to be free, since I'd probably be locked up soon. I mean, she was obviously murdered. We were the only two people staying on that mountain at the time. I'd definitely take the wrap for it. Who in their right mind would believe what happened? If I was lucky, I might be found not guilty by reason of insanity, but I'd still be locked away. The Miners' Hospital

I may be a wee bit obsessed with these ghost hunting shows on t.v. I just can't stop watching them. Maybe it has to do with my love of horror movies, or the fact that every house I've lived in has had some kind of paranormal activity. I'm not sure. That being said, I could never actually go hunting myself. I've seen some shit.
